I'm a seasoned coach and cyclist with a passion for health and wellness and a commitment to making cycling accessible to all. My career spans over two decades, and I've been competing since 2001, securing multiple Tennessee State Road and Mountain Bike Championship titles, claiming the National Off-Road Bicycle Association Championship Series Category 1 Title, and finishing 5th at Masters Worlds Mountain Bike Race. With a Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance, I am able to blend academic knowledge and data analysis with real-world experience to create dynamic and effective training programs.
I'm committed to nurturing talent at every level, from coaching at talent identification camps for juniors to coaching cycling skills for adult beginner road and mountain bike racers. I specialize in teaching the art of climbing and descending, and I've empowered countless new cyclists to conquer their fears and embrace the thrill of the ride. I also have experience working one-on-one with athletes to achieve podium finishes at USA Cycling Mountain Bike Nationals and TN State Criterium Races. Whether you're a seasoned competitor aiming for the top or a novice looking to discover the joys of cycling, I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
I'd love to help you unlock your true potential as a cyclist! With personalized coaching rooted in expertise, passion, and unwavering dedication, I will help you reach new heights and conquer any challenge that lies ahead.

Athlete Testimonials
Shannon continues to be a great coach and an advocate for positive self talk. I appreciate our meetings and her reviews of my workouts. My recent FTP Test was not where I wanted it to be, and she was able to talk me off the ledge by patiently explaining the process (again) and reminding me that no movement in any direction is stagnation. I feel much better about the rest of the training plan for the off season and look forward to meeting goals for next year! - Jason H.
Shannon has so many strengths: her cycling experience, her up-to-date knowledge of exercise physiology, her health coaching experience, and just a natural nice way with people. - Julie F.
