COACHING PHILOSOPHY

MY APPROACH TO COACHING.

I have a PhD in the field, but since I am also an athlete myself, I translate scientific evidence into practices that actually work. My approach integrates sport science and evidence-based training and nutrition into a coach–athlete relationship built on trust, cutting through the noise so you can focus on the things that make the biggest difference in your training and performance.

THE FULL STORY

ABOUT ME AS A COACH.

I'm the director of 1:1 coaching and the nutrition program leader here at BaseCamp. I hold a PhD in Applied Exercise Physiology and a MS in Sport Nutrition, and I'm a Registered Dietitian. I serve on the Board of Editors for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' Sports Nutrition Care Manual, serve on the scientific advisory boards for Runner’s World and Bicycling magazines, and am an adjunct faculty member at University of West Florida.

I lead coach development at BaseCamp and also work with athletes across mountain, gravel, ultra, multi-day, road, cyclocross, triathlon, and running. I help dedicated recreational athletes to elite professionals, translating research and practice into confidence and results.

IN THEIR WORDS

ATHLETES ON COACH NAMRITA

Namrita has been a wealth of knowledge and is super patient with me through all of the struggles. I feel the fittest I've been in the last 5 years and I look forward to continuing on this journey together.  - Stacey M.

Meeting Namrita and moving over to Basecamp was one of the best decisions I have made for my cycling. I've seen a lot of progression in my skills and strengths, and have found the supportive coaching relationship that I needed.  - Julie B.

I’ve had several coaches and Namrita was by far the best. I felt she really understood my physiology and brought me to a place I wouldn’t be able to achieve without her guidance. Any athlete is so lucky to work with her!  - Morgan C.

Namrita is the first coach I have ever worked with and I must say I hit the jackpot. Not only is she an exceptional coach but a mighty fine human being to boot. 2023 has been a breakthrough year. Namrita quickly got a handle on my goals and areas that needed work and took a "big picture" view of my training which in turned helped me get a better handle on why I am doing this!   - Andrew W.

Namrita is the best. :) Always appreciate her willingness to answer my many questions!  - Tina H.
