A bicycle has been part of my life at a very young age.  It has provided a lot of joy and valuable think time, and it has opened up opportunities to travel, compete, and meet some amazing people. Humble beginnings have often led to awesome opportunities.

My life to this point has included competing in high school sports, college sports, high-level amateur sports, professional sports, small business creation (and selling), a healthy marriage to my wife, Jan, and being a dad to two boys who keep me moving and consistently thinking I'm actually younger than I am! I've led teams in athletics and business and coached athletes from elementary school to those in their senior years. I've pushed myself to the highest level I could while achieving healthy relationships and keeping "the main thing the main thing."

I thoroughly enjoy pushing my physical limits and competing but have always strived to be relatable. I once had a Swiss newspaper write an article about me mowing our friend's lawn a few days before a big race! The time I won an Ironman, we were camping with a son with an ear infection, another son potty training, and the family's crazy, cancer-stricken dog. I have had some of my best athletic performances while dealing with life's adventures.

I live outside Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and enjoy our wooded surroundings. Every day includes some kind of riding or running, and when given the chance, I dabble in my other interests of automobiles and writing. I'm currently coaching Cross Country and Track and Field at a local school district and work to convince teenagers that they can do more than they think they can!

Athlete Testimonials

Josh has been so helpful for me to obtain my goals. My goals seem to change alot, and he's always available to shift with my focus and workouts. My fitness and health is always a high goal, with rides/races just icing on the cake! I don't do alot of racing, but this year tried my hand and earned a 3rd place at the Mid South in my age category! At 63 years, I've been riding for about 8 years now. I feel like I'm finally learning the right way! I've learned I can push myself and know I'll recover for the next effort. I've made leaps and bounds in my fitness. It didn't happen overnight, but I can now look back over the past 2 years and feel how much stronger I am. I really enjoy cross training, and Josh has been able to juggle my schedule with different activities while keeping cycling in the forefront. Although my workouts are power based, I've been learning to also feel this power. I would say Josh provides guidance to me in ways that allow me to learn and execute. I think Josh is a good match for me and very happy to have him as my coach!  - Linda C
