I began cycling as a teenager, loving the feeling of going fast. I grew up riding mountain, road, and cyclocross, and while I found the most enjoyment in mountain biking, excelling on the road made it easy to decide to focus solely on road racing.
I raced at the highest level in Europe with Team Garmin, Team Highroad, and Team Sky, often finding myself in a supportive role. My favorite things in racing were the intense focus required for a successful time trial and the teamwork necessary in road stages to shape the race's outcome in our favor.
Cycling has been a significant part of my life, providing me with physical fitness, mental clarity, and a sense of freedom. My goal is to help others achieve the same. As a former professional cyclist, I understand the sport's demands at the highest level, but I also deeply relate to the journey of personal improvement. Having gone through the same stages of learning and growth, I can connect with your experiences and challenges. This shared understanding helps me guide with insight to improve your fitness and skills with the goal of enriching your cycling experience.
We all have past experiences and biases that affect how we see ourselves and our performances. Having me as your coach will give you someone in your corner with a grounded viewpoint to assess your current position. Then with your feedback, we can build your best plan to improve and achieve your goals. To me, good training is a realistic plan of being intentional about improving that also fits into the rest of your life. Developing the best plan is a conversation of your motivators, goals, and what success looks like to you.
